The refugees who fled by boat to neighboring countries were soon known as "boat people" and called the paths they took the "passage[s] to freedom". Though, "Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines declared that they could no longer accept immigrants into their overcrowded [refugee] camps", "ten thousand to fifteen thousand immigrants were still leaving Vietnam each month” (Encyclopedia of the New American Nation). 6. disembark at the coastline, continue south past the Gulf of Thailand for 1000km
7. Head west for 250km, pass the Changi Bay
8. Travel towards through the Singapore Strait and into the Kallang River
9. Continue North for 1.2km and 25 Hawkins Rd will be on the right
